How to Get Palliative Care

The Palliative Care Provider Directory of Hospitals is a resource to help you or a loved one locate a hospital in your area that provides a palliative care program.
The directory is based upon palliative care programs listed in the American Hospital Association (AHA) Annual Survey.

Note: If you are a hospital and your program is not listed or bolded with an asterisk, please register your program in the National Palliative Care Registry^TM.

Step 2) Find a hospital in your area that provides palliative care

If you are looking for non hospital-based palliative care, please go to www.caringinfo.org.

* Institutions that have reported their palliative care program to the Center to Advance Palliative Care.

** Institutions that have confirmed their palliative care program by registering in the National Palliative Care Registry^TM.

The directory is published as a convenient public service and is provided for informational purposes only. We regret that we cannot answer individual medical questions. If you think you may need palliative care, we encourage you to speak with your doctor.

Getpalliativecare.org provides clear, comprehensive palliative care information for people coping with serious, complex illness. Key components of the site include a Palliative Care Directory of Hospitals, a definition of palliative care, and a detailed description of what palliative care is and how it is different from hospice. It also provides an interactive questionnaire to assist people in determining whether palliative care is appropriate for them or their loved-ones.
